Burn, Cut, and Bite Relief

The Essential Oils in this synergy blend have been traditionally used to relieve pain, itching, infection, and tissue damage due to burns, insect bites, and wounds. This synergy contains no carrier oil, but these essential oils are generally mild to the skin. Apply to affected area immediately after injury, and often throughout the following days. This synergy may also help relieve symptoms of respiratory discomfort (by inhalation/diffusion), and for freshening stale, musty air – great for hotel rooms and “sick” rooms.

Essential Oils of: Lavender, Tea Tree, and Niaouli.

Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing.

More Information

It is widely accepted that pure essential oil of Lavender is nearly miraculous for burns, but I hadn’t experienced it first-hand until a couple of summers ago. We got a new propane BBQ grill with a side burner and I decided to cook blackened Cajun fish. I “spiced it up”, heated the oil, carefully placed the fish in the pan and covered it with a lid. Soon the smoke began to rise, so I lifted the lid to see if the fish was ready to turn yet, but HOLY SMOKES – the oil had caught fire! It was as though the whole thing just exploded.

I dropped the pan, but not before I was doused with hot oil all over my left hand and arm. I flew into the kitchen and ran cold water over my arm while hunting for the bag of frozen peas and my Burn, Bite, and Cut Relief. I spent the rest of the night smearing the BBC Relief all over my hand and arm, and kept the ice therapy going as well. By morning, the only blisters that had formed were a few tiny ones where the oil had spattered up by my neck. My skin went through the icky-looking-red-dry stages of healing, but no blisters. I used the Wound and Scar Relief to further the healing process, and I have no scarring either.

I now keep Burn, Bite and Cut Relief in the kitchen at all times, and never travel without it.
