Solid Perfumes

All of our Solid Perfumes are made with blends of essential oils (what are essential oils?) and true perfume oils and attars. These formulations are then blended with Jojoba oil and beeswax to make them safe and convenient to apply directly to the skin. The Solid Perfumes are packaged in silver tins, tied up in a sweet little white organdy bag, and each contains a story card describing the intent of the blend.

We chose the Jojoba/Beeswax base for a variety of reasons. Alcohol is drying to the skin, while Jojoba is wonderfully nourishing. Alcohol can sometimes affect the scent of a perfume so that it changes dramatically once it is on the skin, but because Jojoba is the vegetable oil closest to the human body's own sebum, the scent tends to stay more "true." Additionally, Jojoba oil is really a liquid wax, and does not become rancid with age. Beeswax allows us to make a "balm-type" perfume that can be easily applied to the skin, has healing properties, adds a hint of sweetness to the natural perfume oils, and holds the scent onto the skin longer.

Our tins are wide and flat, so you can easily tuck one into your jeans pocket, your evening bag, or your briefcase!

We use NO synthetic fragrance oils, petroleum products, or alcohol in any of our perfumes.
