How it All Began

The Short Story

For years I was a "victim" of Fibromyalgia which began after I sustained a repeated-use injury. The symptoms escalated to the point that I could barely walk. I was poked, prodded, and medicated by doctors who did surgeries (which did not result in expected pain relief), and then suggested that my chronic, debilitating pain was perhaps "something other than physical". I took prescription medications for pain, inflammation, muscle spasms, migraine headaches, insomnia, and depression.

I finally found my way to a massage therapist, and through her I began to learn about biofeedback, myofascial release and other massage and relaxation techniques that can help with chronic pain control. Every bit as important in the "alternative" search was the discovery of therapeutic quality pure essential oils.

Through my study of essential oils and aromatherapy I found that "true aromatherapy" is really less about scent, and more about therapy. I began to formulate my own blends of essential oils, added them to a high quality lotion base, and topically applied the lotions to the painful areas in my shoulders, neck, and arms. For the first time in years, my muscle spasms and other symptoms were relieved without conventional medication, and I could use the lotions throughout the day as needed without any side effects (or naps!).

Sharing my Muscle Relief and other lotions with friends and family quickly progressed to sharing with people I'd never met. Everyone was truly amazed and delighted with the relief received from the lotions, and requests began to pour in for other various "relief" formulas.

I am grateful to the doctors and other health providers who did their best to help me during those long and difficult years. At that time most of them were not familiar with fibromyalgia, and many of us learned together.

I am no longer a "victim". I am 99% medication-free, and I am an active participant in my own wellness.
